Doula & herbal support - rooted in autonomy, instinct, and deep care

For those who want to move through birth - not be moved through it.

Feral Kin is doula and herbal support for those who want to arrive at birth feeling resourced, informed, and held - not handed over to a system.

"You are not a set of symptoms to be resolved. You are a whole person moving through something immense."

Not a problem to solve. A rite of passage to move through.

Birth is not something that happens to you. You move through it - and that distinction matters.

Feral Kin exists for those who want support that is honest, steady, and deeply human. Not clinical for the sake of it. Not performance. Not disconnected from the body's own knowing.

This work holds together what often gets separated: practical preparation and ancestral wisdom. Embodied presence and informed choice. Herbal care and grounded support. Both instinct and knowledge - held in the same hands.

This space may be for you if...

You're tired of being told what birth should look like. You want to understand your options — without being overwhelmed or shut down.

You want to feel anchored in your body, not disconnected from it. And you want someone beside you who respects your autonomy — fully.

This might feel familiar if...
  • you want information, but not fear
  • you're craving trust in your body, not more doubt
  • you don't want to be managed — you want to be supported
  • you feel the pull toward a more instinctive, self-led birth experience
  • you want care that honours both your intuition and your right to informed choice

Before, during, after

A thread of presence through the whole threshold.

Birth is not one moment. It is a landscape - and the terrain shifts. Before: preparation and trust. During: steadiness and instinct. After: the tender, underestimated work of landing.

This is what doula support can be when it runs all the way through.

Meet Erin

I'm Erin, the founder of Feral Kin — a full-spectrum birth doula offering grounded, intuitive support through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum threshold.

I believe birth belongs to women — and to anyone who experiences it in their body. Not as a concept, but as something lived. In instinct, in physiology, in the quiet knowing that often gets spoken over. My role is to stand beside you as you return to your own authority.

Feral Kin was born from a desire to bring women back to themselves — to their instincts, their choices, and their power. My work weaves together evidence-based knowledge, emotional steadiness, and deep respect for the physiological process of birth.

I don't believe in fear-based care, or in handing decision-making away. I believe in clear information, honest conversations, and support that strengthens your confidence rather than replacing it.

Alongside doula work, I'm deeply connected to herbal wisdom and cyclical living. These threads inform my approach — rooted in the belief that the body is not something to be managed, but something to be understood, respected, and trusted.

I work with women who want to feel held without being overridden. Women who want support, but not control. Women who are ready to trust themselves — and want someone steady beside them as they do.

My work is rooted in supporting women, while welcoming anyone who feels aligned with this way of being supported.

Certified doula through the Original Birth Connection.

Your body is not a problem to solve.

Birth is not something that happens to you - it is something you move through.

You bring your intuition. Your care team brings their knowledge. Both matter.

You do not need to be managed to be safe.

Herbs as a thread, not a treatment

Plant support runs through all of the Feral Kin offerings - not as add-ons, but as part of how care is woven together.

Nourishing teas in pregnancy. Sitz baths and nervous system support in postpartum. Simple, intentional, and grounded in both traditional use and contemporary safety. Never to overwhelm. Always alongside, not instead of, informed care.
